We celebrated my mother turning 60 over the weekend with a pretty floral luncheon at The Garden's Cafe located on the grounds of the Birmingham Botanical Gardens. It was a gorgeous day and a beautiful celebration of a beautiful woman (inside and out!) I had so much fun planning this party with my sister! We finalized all the details before she had her sweet baby boy in February, my adorable nephew!
As always, we started with the invite design as our theme and inspiration for the look and feel of the party, after that, everything fell into place pretty easily!
I found the MOST gorgeous gold foil trimmed blush envelopes on amazon. The quality is outstanding and I printed fun matching stickers that said, "Let's Celebrate Ellen's 60th Birthday!"
Wild Things did an amazing job with the flowers. They matched up the flowers to the invitation perfectly and we love the signature ribbon they use! I got pretty gold foil place cards in the wedding section at Hobby Lobby and printed the names on my home computer.
Balloons by Celebrate Bham!
I love the tassels and ribbons on these jumbo balloons! I designed a birthday poster to match!
My new obsession – cake gems! These had strawberry cake filling! I used this mold I found on amazon. And the adorable tiered stand also came from amazon!
Royal Icing Sugar cookies that I made. I used Fancy Sprinkles Prism Powder in Fool's Gold and got the 60 cookie cutter off of Etsy.
I boxed, bagged and added ribbon and we put them at the place settings.
Hello 60! This gorgeous cake was made by my talented cousin!!! Macaroons by Dreamcakes Bakery! My sister found the gorgeous cake stand on amazon, of course. We found the pretty topper on Etsy.
Happy Birthday, mom!!! We enjoyed celebrating and creating these special memories with you!
